I and many other have great success in the spring with rat'l traps on muddy reservoirs. Just curious if everyone would think they may work in clear water? Anyone tried it?

I've used them on Rainy in very clear water for big pike and smallmouth with excellent success. Pelican has given up a Trap Muskie or two to me in the early spring when things there are very clear as well. SO has Crescent, so I guess from my experience the answer is use them anytime!

I have used them on Tippy, Webster, The Barbee Chain here in Indiana. Our water is clear to 3 feet of visibility.

I have used them on Kentuck in Wisconsin, clear water.

It's the sound...... Clear, muddy, stained, etc......

Use it and it will work.
