Let's file this under the heading "no question is a bad/stupid question".....

It looks like I'll be making it to my first swap this weekend. My question to you swap pros out there is - aside from the assured beer, laughing, old/new friends etc., what does one need to expect? Is it all free form and everyone just swaps stuff and goes with the flow? Are there rules, expectations, unwritten requirements or taboos? Do you just set your stuff somewhere and periodically check to see if someone is interested in something?

The selection of baits I would be bringing is not huge, nor is it Hughes River stuff. It's a good mix of good condition baits. As an example, I just don't want to look like a fool if someone offers me a Burmek (sorry, I had to use it to make a point) for a custom Undertaker and I say "no, thanks".

Make my first experience a good one. Boy, if I could go back a "few years" and take that request with me

Mike, it can be quite helpful to have a sign or a paper that say $10 each and have the baits that you are selling for $10 each in that lot. have a sign for the $5 baits...ect. you can have a little sign that says all baits are for trade too. by sign,i really mean just a piece of paper with that wrote on there. as people cruise past they can see how much you want for your baits for sale. it does make is easier to get red of what you want.

Mike, the way it works is, you take your custom Undertakers, find Tuffdaddy, and say, hey dude, I brought this for you. heh heh heh

It is pretty much a free for all. One tip, sell baits before consuming libations, or the half off sale will start too soon. LOL

If you are going to the show on Sat, give me a call. Email me if you don't have my cell #.

See ya there bud!

And don't let Norm tell you he'll buy that Awaker he's always wanted, but you have to get him a drink as part of the deal. I did that last year. His drink cost a buck more than the bait I sold him! hehehehe

No reason to feel guilty. I wasn't that loaded. Just didn't want to bring anything I came with, home. 'Cept the wife. I had to bring her home. hehehe

Hope you make the swap. It promises to be bigger and better than last year. I'm already planning for next year. Got a couple ideas that should make somebody a real happy MFer.
