| I have 3 rods. 2 of the old Cabela's Joe Bucher series and 1 St. Croix Premier.
I have been seeing a lot of the ALL-STARS lately. What's opinion on the ALL-STARS compared to the others including customer service??
I had one Cabela's Jerkbait rod blow-up on me the last day of a tournament the first year I had it. Except for the wait to get a new one, the service was excellent. Replaced it with no questions asked. I have several St. Croix's, only one musky rod, and have had zero problems with them.
Just trying to compare apples to apples. |

| I have seen the all star rods and like them. Light as a loomis for the price of a premere. You can't go wrong with a premere. You can also look at the falcon musky rods too. They are well built. |

| I bought two new Fenwick HMGs, one XH and one H, this Spring. The one (XHeavy) is of very poor quality. Air bubbles in the varnish, varnish already cracking and starting to peel, etc. The other one, which I don't use as much seems to be fine. At this point I would not recommend Fenwicks. I had thought about going St Croix the whole time and then was persuaded by a musky fishing friend to go Fenwick.
I will be sending the XH back to Fenwick following the musky season. Hopefully customer service will make up for the poor initial quality. I may add that I later noticed on the tags for both rods that they were "Made in China" - not what I would have expected for $130+/- rods.[:(] |

| I have 2 All Star rods, and they are great. I've got the 6'10" and an 8'. I use the 6'10" mostly just for topwater and the 8' for almost everything else, I love that 8'er especially. I haven't had any problems with them yet, I've heard that their customer service is excellent. I think it's a great deal for $120, all their musky rods are this price. |

| Another quality rod is the Lamiglas Made handmade in the USA with a lifetime warranty.
Their muskie line offers a great selection. Also I have been using their Inshore series which I really like, longer handles and soft butts. Check them out at lamiglas.com

| Both Lamiglas and All-star make quality rods and stand behing there products. Both companys have done a great job with there longer 8' and 8'6" rods. I have switched to longer rods for me and my clients, I am very happy with the results. |

| I'm hooked on St. Croix rods. I'm a jerk & glide bait nut and have been using their 6"9" Premier. This past winter I purchased their Avid 6'2". I like it so much that I'll be purchasing another Avid in the 6'9" length. I also have the Premier 7'& 7'6" for bucktails and crank baits. |
