Location: Elk River, Minnesota | Why is it that when some fish follow, they go under the boat to the other side, and wait there until you turn around and see them, and THEN swim off, only later to be on the surface again at that perfect moment you made a cast in a different direction, but you were looking in their direction? I cannot count how many times fish have done that to me..

Location: Contrarian Island | I HAVE to agree with Mike Hulbert on this one.... Why do they hit and follow on the ONE cast you aren't paying attention to your bait...this happened to me this Dec., fished about 18 hours with no fish boated or spotted and on the one cast my partner hung his reef hawg up on a rock at the shoreline a nice big fat 46-47" comes in behind my big joe ...but of course i'm watching him wiggle his reef hawg and not my bait coming in... seems to happen alot with topwater too!
I think there are way to many "why's" in this sport to even start trying to figure them all out... |
