| USPS - Power squadron is a non profit organization focused on educating people on boating topics. From safety & operation to seamanship and navigation. The classes range from the introductory "rules of the water" type things to celestial navigation, etc.
Its a great way to learn, meet other boater and they offer certifications which most insurance companies recognize and give discounts for obtaining.
It's been around since 1914.
