If so what kind of techniques or conditions seemed to work best?

Spoons are one of the most underated lures out there. I use them as a 'jump lure', hopping them over and dropping them into weed pockets.

I'm very curious too actually. I've thrown them a bit for 'ski's and caugh one smaller one on the big Johnson's minnow with a tail on it.

Anyone else with any luck? Size, shape, season?

I personally didn't use them but my brother did a few times when he was in the boat with me. We were typically on high pressured water on spots that were community spots and they moved fish time after time. Most consistent pattern was the good old white/red dardevle. In my opinion the key to moving those fish was the underuse of them. When talking to some other guys when we got off the water who were also out there they couldn't move a fish but were sticking with "traditional" tactics. The only thing that moved anything for us were the spoons. It led me to believe that the response that these fish had was not "that looks tasty, I'm hungry" deal but more of the "what in the hell is that, I must kill it" response.
