I could use some advice. I got a few Triple D blanks in a bait trade, and I'm gonna paint them up with my baits (which have no lips). My question to you is this, What do you use, or how do you keep the envirotex off of the lip? All advice is appreciated. |

Location: Freedom, WI | Just hold on to the lip with a clean hand and use a cheap brush and carefully coat the bait and let it drip off tail down. It will be a nice thin coat when done.
Baldy - The envirotex makes for a nice clearcoat to give it that deep look and protects the paint. Multiple coats of clear would work also. Waterbased paint needs a clearcoat to finish it off also and that is what he uses. |

| I did some for M Hukbert, and had tape on the lip from painting, so I left it there when I put on the Envirotex. You said the lures had no lips, make sure that they will still fit by not piling up the Envirotex in the lip gap.

| Careful.These are great baits, but very weight sensitive.Too heavy of a coat and they'll sink.Found that out this summer. Steve |
