I saw a another post in the Boats and Motors Forum talking about a list of names and phone numbers to have handy when you are traveling and have problems. Was thinking about posting this a while back and for whatever reason I didn't.

Here are the names and numbers of some of the service places I'm using or used in the past.

Blystone's Towing and Repair, Portage Wisconsin 608-742-4228
These are by far the nicest, most accomodating and trustworthy people I have dealt with. They currently do all the repairs on my personal and work related vehicles.

Steve's Car and Truck Service (Towing too), Lake Mills Wisconsin 920-648-2766
Awesome people as well. They used to do all my service work until I moved.

Both these places have several tow trucks - S to XXXL. If they can't tow it, it can't be towed.....

Anyone else have places that they'd be willing to reccommend if they were traveling through and had problems?????

Get the number to Mercury customer service in Fondulac and keep it in the boat. We ran low on oil the other day, filled up the main tank and the alarm didn't reset. We called them and they walked us through how to bleed the system to completely fill the little tank under the cowling (duh!) and we were off and running, no charge.

theedz, I'll second the Blystone's recommendation!

A couple summers ago I was heading back from Wisconsin to Illinois on the 4th of July when a tire completely disitegrated on me taking out a coolant line that fed the back of my van. My partner wasn't towing so he took my boat to his house in Madtown and I had my truck towed there. A new pair of tires (I wasn't about to trust that other one!), some hose and a couple clamps and I was on my way home July 5th. Price was very reasonable too!
