I've been going to the Indian lake chain at Vermillion Bay for the last 5 years. It's been fun,but we are looking to do a trip on Lake of the Woods.
I have looked at Monument Bay. It looks incredible. Any advise from you guys on where your favorite place is would be appreciated.
Is there a place in a good area with nice facilities, quality boats at a decent price?

I like Frank Walsh's Bay Store Camp on Oak Island NW Angle LOTW the best in terms of a musky camp with nice rental boats and immediate access to great fishing.

Lots of pressure, lots of boats. Some days in summer, boats on every point and weedbed, fish can be very pressured. Monument, The Angle, etc, everyone's fishing it. Consider a little further north and East: Crow Rock, Ash Rapids, or even Kenora. Less pressure, and still lots of fish.

Pressure on the Woods has gone west for sure.I NEVER hear any discussion of the eastern sections and have talked to some about it lately.Simple reason really, great Muskie Camps and great fishing, including HUGE fish.BUT, the pond is a MILLION freakin acres. Many options. Some of the "old populated" areas still provide the bounty.Talk to lots of people and enjoy THE GREATEST LAKE ON EARTH.My happy place.Have fun and be careful.Rocks and storms can sour a trip fast.Do your home work.Oh yeah, if you drive 10 minutes, you just passed 10 potential spots.
