Most informative book? Get Pearson's Muskies on the Shield, hands down much more info. I've got both and Saric and Heiting's was great for when I was first starting out, but Pearson's has much more info for post-rookie 'ski fishermen. Just my opinion (especially if you fish LOTW, MUST HAVE). More in-depth info, too (the other kind of skimmed the surface on a bunch of topics).

Crankbait Secrets by Joe Bucher is a good one, especially if you want to learn some challenging trolling techniques.

This Winter I have the Muskies on the Shield DVD ordered from ERC and I will get Jim Saric's new DVD at the Chicago show.

Steve Heiting's DVD is good, Bad Fish Outdoors is good and there is a second DVD coming out at the Chicago show, and the In-Fisherman DVD with Doug Johnson and Dick Pearson is good too. Anything with Bucher or Maina is pretty good, and Bobby M's Hunting the Mystique DVDs show some big fish being caught with the what, where, when, why, ...explained in painful detail!

They're all Muskies!!!Buy 'em all!!!!Become an information sponge! You can find SOMETHING in any of the above that will make you a better angler.Or at least help pass the hard water season with visions of muskies dancing in your head. Steve

Really throw 'em for a loop and buy Buck Perry's course on structure fishing. The basis for a lot of what we have today.Really good stuff.

You won't learn much from the badfish vid, but it's fairly entertaining. For educational vid, get Maina's techniques video if you're just starting out.

I just received Mr. Pearson's video Saturday, signed to my two boys, Weston & Colton. What a class act he is!! Anyway, his video is VERY informative, and the action sequences are GREAT!! The ability to see that Dick is a real person, especially when he loses a couple of real heavies, makes me feel a little better about my blow-ups when I or someone in my boat loses BIG FISH.....LOL!!!!

Anyway, have a VERY Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year from all of the Hunt's!!

Sincerely,
Donnie, Laura, Weston, Hallie and Colton Hunt
