Had a great time with Joel at the aquirium. Breaking ice, beers, shiners, and a bunch of pike. Gotta love it.

After 4 years of fishing with me, here is my wife Holly's first big muskie! 44 1/2" Long by 20" Girth. On December 5th, I knew we were running out of time for open water, so I convinced her to give it one last shot. It was in the upper 20's and fairly windy, so we bundled up and headed out to White Bear Lake. We only had about an hour and a half to fish, so we focused on one area and tried jigging deep. That didn't work, so we decided to make a trolling pass. We were about to the end of the pass when we crossed over a small weed hump and Holly yelled, "Honey, I got one, I got one!" Then she thought she was snagged because it wasn't moving. Suddenly it began to fight, and I assured her it was a fish. I got the net ready and she continued to fight the fish to the boat. I scooped it on the first attempt and it was done, Holly had her first hog. As you can see, she had a big smile on her face, but not as big as mine! Holly has put in a lot of hours fishing with me, usually in warmer weather, so she was due.

Here's my biggest fish to date....came on 12/11 just after sunset on our last pass of the day. This big girl measured 49.5 x 23.5 and came on a depthraider. Not a bad way to end the season here in MN.

Looks like Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor's shot of Wilson, his next door neighbor;

"Actually Tim, the smell of fish on one's mustache is actually a sign of considerable status in some circles."

this fish is small in comparison to others in this post...but here is Big Tuna (the guy holding the fish) with his 1st musky ever. undoubtably the Ohio State Buckeyes hat he's wearing aided in the fish biting! Chad was a musky virgin before this trip, so it made it special for those in the boat.
dang it, pics wont attach, they are over 200 whatever..
