Alright, I finally have a moment to sit down and relax.
THANKSGIVING DAY

Hit the water with my brother Tom around 7:15. My first intentions were going to be jigging, but after finding out my brothers depth finders weren't working all to good, I decided we should cast instead of jigging since I couldn't locate schools of shad.

We started off fishing the 9 foot area from the west side of the island towards the point just out of Goveners. After fishing it for about 2 hours, we had ZERO fish in the boat, but 4 fish missed the baits, including one in 45-46 inch range. All fish came on the Shad pattern Beer Belly Glider. #*^@ IT!

We moved over to Goveners and caught a few (3) fish including one in the 40-41 inch range that was VERY VERY FAT!

FRIDAY

Guiding Greg and Matt Page of Michigan and Illinios. I finally had some working depth finders, so we decided to start off jigging in 38-48 feet of water just as you leave the flats and head to the main lake. Matt boated the first musky on the smaller Fuzzy Duzzit and then we went for about an hour and a half with nothing. We decided to start casting and had some active fish, but no eaters. Since full moon was at 3:08, I wanted to be on the fish around 3:00. AND JUST LIKE CLOCK WORK IT HAPPENED, AND GOD I WISH IT WAS ALWAYS LIKE THIS! From a little before 3:00 till 3:15 we boated 4 fish all on jigs. The boat beside us, also were having a ball boating fish about every 5 minutes as well!!!! Then the feeding frenzy stopped and we finally pick up another one around 5:00.

SATURDAY

Had Quenten and Leonard from the Toledo Ohio area out. Once again we started off jigging and the fish were still there, THANK GOD! Jiggin the main lake hole, we boat 6 and lost one that Quenten had on. In his words, "This fish was a whole new ball game." From the bend in his rod, it was a good fish, but o well you can't land them all! Thank god the fish were biting as it rained all day and the wind SUCKED!

SUNDAY

John Mich, a police officer of the Chicago area had to cancel, so my brother Tom and I decided to hit the water again. We started off in the same mid lake hole, but due to high winds we couldn't stay on the balls of shad like I wanted to. The wind was coming straight out of the south, so we moved into the "Famous" Goveners hole and started jigging. After going 15 for 16 on jigs, it should have known the law of avgerages were going to catch up to me sooner or later! I lost 2 fish on the larger Fuzzy and my brother lost 1 as well. The surface activity was fairly active so I asked my brother if he minded casting the Beer Belly as I jigged. It wasn't 10 minutes later when he had his first of MANY MANY follows. The fish were hitting pretty short and Tom actually lost 2 fish on the figure 8, and 2 others out on the retrieve. WE LOST 7 fish!!!! Action slowed down, but then finally around 3:00 again the feeding window picked up and from 3:00-5:00 we boated 4, 3 on the Beer Belly and one on a white manta. We also had one PIGGY following the sucker all around but she just wouldn't eat. I wish I had 12-13 inch suckers instead of 18-20 inch suckers!

21 fish total, lost 8 total and saw a zillion more.

GOD I WISH EVERY WEEK WAS THIS GOOD!

Now hopefully the bite continues so my clients this weekend can have some fun!

Good luck out there and remember to release 'em right! I'll try to get picture up as soon as possible, but for some reason my computer doesn't want to cooperate today!

Good Job on the fish this weekend Greg, Matt, Quenten, Leonard and Tom! I was a pleasure sharing the holiday weekend with a group of great guys!

Thursday- caught 3 lost nought
Friday - caught 6 lost nought
Saturday- caught 6 lost 1
Sunday - caught 4 lost 7

Somehow this comes out to 19 caught and lost 8.

21 definitely sounds better, does that involve the secret "guide count" some of us are familiar with???

Some were shorties and I didn't throw in there.

But I am glad you can count even when you don't know what you are talking about.

Go fishing and turn off your computer.

I don't care how many LITTLE Muskies everyone (including myself) is catching out on Webster in one day.

MY HATS OFF TO DARYL FOR HIS NICE CATCH THE OTHER DAY..............any time you can nail a 47" and a 49" in one day your doing something right!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I care! That tells me the fish are active. I'd think that if you boated 26 muskies in 2 days then you are doing something right too. Wonder how many they lost and had follow? No matter how big or small they were they are still muskies and can be darn hard to catch.

Brian,

I didn't mean to come off in a bad way, that is why I included myself.
The fact is, Webster has been putting out multiple fish days for about 6 weeks now for myself as well as others on this board. This is one of the easiest times of year to put a lot of fish in the boat out there, just find the bait fish and don't move.
They all seem to be on the small side though, when I saw that Daryl nailed two PIGS in one day..........WOW now that's an accomplishment.

Does anyone know the ice thickness on Webster and Tippecanoe?
