| I have a small boat I fish the Pelican River and some other hard to get to waters out of, and really like my Stow Master net. It's easy to use and folds in half to get it out of the way. It's a very nice quality net, too. | |

Location: Eden Prairie & Pine Island | I run a bass boat and gave up my big Beckman (which I dearly loved) for the Stowmaster this year. First, I really like the way this net can be folded and stowed on the floor in front of the seats. You never have to mess with it until you need it, and its out of the way. Second, my large Stowmaster is actually bigger than the large Beckman I had! I could almost fit the Beckman hoop inside the Stowmaster's, so no worry about missing the big girl at boat side. Third, it unfolds easy enough and is sturdy, plus the handle snaps in place one way, no need to line up the hole in the yoke with the button on the handle like the Beckman. Finally, the negative, the shape of the net is less conducive to working on removing baits from your fish while its still in the lake. The Beckman net shape is more square...a "pen" as they call it, and the fish and hooks are easier to access in the Beckman, while the Stowmaster net tapers to a point so it clings a little more to the fish and doesn't set quite so open when haning over the side. All things considered, in my case the Stowmaster is a much better fit. | |

Why not put a Frabill bag or the bag from your Beckman on the Stowmaster..?
I've been a devoted Frabill user for many years. The durability and the fish-friendly coating and knotless bags are the finest I've ever used. The fold-up concept of the Stowmaster is interesting though. I've never seen one in person only in catalogs.
