Location: Hartland, WI | Good luck on finding the Weagle...your best bet would be to hit one of the shows this winter, or visit muskynut.com regularly. On occasion they will sell a few on there. I am not in the know, but heard a while back that they may sell a few on there around Christmas. As far as the rod goes...I dont know yet. I have several Wabulls now but haven't had the chance to get out in a while to use them. I am sure someone on here will answer this for you, I am curious too. |

| 6'9", 7'2", 7'6" rod Heavy or Medium Heavy action, just make sure you have a fast action tip for working heaving baits like Wabulls and Weagles. With the Weagle you have to get the hang of working it, then it will zig side to side and push lots of water. Find the cadence that works best for you, usually a twitch of the rod tip with a slight crank of the reel.
Check Muskynut for availability, they are often up and gone in a day! |

Location: Pittsburgh, PA | ok cool, i was under the impression that i needed a really stiff rod like extra heavy to work the heavier baits. I threw my wabull with my 7' heavy compre and it just didnt feel right. any specific suggestions ($150 or under?) |

| My friend had a similar problem, I like St. Croix Premier rods the best or go with the BPS Pete Maina for less money. |

| Check one of these out! I fished the first one this season and this thing is SWEET!
Fig-Rig Xtreme 8' med/hvy $89.95 lifetime warranty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
10" jakes, supertopraiders, 8"reefhawgs, all the big stuff is not a problem for this lower end in price but not in quality. I love this rod and have many St., Lommis,Shimano`s, Ganders its just a fish`in machine. Got one for my boy for christmas and will have another for myself this spring. I have several Fig-Rigs( more$) and am really impressed in the cheaper model! |

| i really really like my 7' st.croix MHF for the wabull - casts like a dream and just the right combo of flex and backbone to make it dance. remember: slower is better, a bit of slack line is good.
for the weagle i've found nirvana with a 7'6 st.croix MHF. the longer rod with fast tip allows you to work it slow and still snap it around. the key is leaving enough slack line.
i might have a Weagle and a Wabull i could part with. send me a PM.

Location: oswego, il | In my opinion, I get better control out of my glide baits with a very heavy action rod. I use a 6'2" avid but I think the 6'9" would work ok. I have tried big glide baits with my 7'6" st croix mh but to me the tip is too soft and I can't get the response I need out of the bait. |

| Heavy action 7'6'' Avid can handle gliders up to 10" Hugheys and 8" Shakers as well as smaller jerks and gliders and top waters.
It my favorite , all around "wood rod".
