Shelbyville is huge, but I doubt it has turned 3 or 4 times. I am no expert, but once the lake turns it will not turn again nearly as severely as the original.turn. The fact that Shelbyville has current would indicate that major portions of the lake may never turn at all. I would concentrate on the old river channels and troll the areas that hold baitfish with brightly colored lures. From what I understand, the water clarity has not been good on Shelby this fall and that might have something to do with the poor fishing you have experienced. Also, the amount of baitfish in a given system at any given time might impact their willingness to take a lure. I realize this might not be the best answer but since no one else responded I thought I would give you my best shot.
