I am looking for a 50 pound thrust trolling motor or more with a 48 or 52'' shaft to put on my boat the one I have now is smaller and doesn't do good in the wind

Location: Chicago, Beverly		Check out Bass boat central. I saw several there recently and am in the process of buying a 55at I found there. Also, saw someone mention trollingmotor.com recently, they have a lot of refurbished stuff, local Minn kota place around me said avoid the refurbs.....regardless of brand.

Location: Madison, WI		My wife bought me a new trolling motor for my B-day. I now have a Minn Kota 50PD available with a QR plate for mounting. It has a long shaft 48" for sure possibly 52". New pedal was bought 9/04 and the old one is available for parts.
