| Hello I was wondering if you guys could give me your imput on these two lures. I was wondering since they are both glide baits is there really a difference between the two? do they run the same depth,glide the same etc. I know both have had alot of hype! thanks for your time   |

| I have never thrown an Amma Bama but know alot of guys like them. I have owned two DropBelly gliders and both swam well....more roll than many other baits I have tried. Good luck.

Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | I have owned several Amma Bamma's in my life time and I must say that I did not like any of them.
This is NOT a bash against Amma Bamma baits, but they just do not do what I want in a glider.
The action on these lures is very subtle and not the left up, down, right, up left, down, right, up, left action that I like in my gliders.
Just my personal opinion...
For slow moving gliders I will stick with The Wabull, HR Shaker and the Dead Head.

Location: oswego, il | I have an amma bamma(8" model) and I use it when I need a slowly worked glider. It has slime time on it and will catch fish but you cannot work it deep or fast. The guy who makes them is Bill Looney. He is a super guy and stands behind hs work 1000%. |

Location: ft wayne, IN | I have to agree quite strongly with Mike--Ammas action stinks. It took Bill many months to get me my Ammas. One of the six actually had any decent action at all. Still haven't caught a fish on them! Otherwise a quality paint job and workmanship--just NO FUN factor. |

Location: oswego, il | Brainsx, I caught a fish darn there in front of you on my amma bamma a couple years ago. If you are not satisfied with your baits, contact Bill Looney. I am telling you this guy does not want a bad amma bamma out in the hands of fisherman. Mine originally floated and did nothing. I contacted Bill, he was eager to get it back. He re-worked it and sent it back to me and he even personalized it. It worked fine. He even followed up with me to make sure I was happy with the bait. You can't beat that for commitment and service.

Location: Apollo, PA | You know, its all in the eye of the beholder............ I've seen amma bama's worked fast, slow - they catch fish. I like a little deeper, slasher type, almost like the old Gries Striker - that why i like the Smuttley Dogs. This is not a bash of bama's, its just what i like. Another two dropbelly gliders that i love are the Hughes River shakers, and the Trueglide Hustlers. Both dropbelly gliders and both different. Speaking of different, the Deadhead is an animal all to itself. And Ray will tell you that, and he's right. Shallow, neutal bouyant, hanger, that will plum drive them mooskies to drink in the right conditions.
Fish some different gliders and see what YOU and the fish in your neighborhood like. tight lines, Pikiespawn |

Location: Lincoln UK | Must say that the Slammers are a fantastic bait, great action lovely finish and consistant best of all cheap for what they are. I have only had 4 Amma bamas and found them to be lacking in the same 4 catagories, all got sold on. The AB's were 01's and 02's maybe things have changed but I for one won't believe the hype again.Surely in this day and age when a bait leaves the maker it should run right to type not have to go back to get it right.The Slammer drop bellies really are a fantastic bait and are always with me; it is only recently they have been ousted from my no.1 glider choice by Mark Smiths Smuttly's. He is a one man operation who takes the time to make sure his baits run as they are meant to before they leave, a shame that everyone can't do the same. |

Location: Somewhere on the water!!!!!!!! | The drop belly glider has put MANY fish in my boat in the past two years.
You can't beat the action and they are a breeze to use, can be worked slow or fast, shallow or deep. |

| I have 2 Amma Bammas and I have caught several nice fish on them not to mention all the fish I have moved when nothing else worked, It's like most lures they have there time and place to use them.
