| This has always bugged me I see both constantly. What is the correct spelling?
David |
| Officially, I believe both to be correct. More and more I see Muskie as the spelling....with seemingly everyone East of Chicago calling it that, many people in WI still spelling it Musky.
Personally, I'm not that big a fan of MHM, but I am of Esox Angler and M1st here....so I go with their spelling. My one example of playing follow the leader!

| I have been chasing these critters for more years than I care to remember and I will tell you that long time ago, on a Muskie lake far away, Musky was the singular version and Muskie, was the plural. Much as 1 Goose many Geese. At least that was how it was explained to me. As in I am going to catch that Musky that I just saw, or I am going Muskie fishing. Not at all sure if this is true but it sure sounds good doesn't it. I use Muskyone because on my ISP Muskieone was taken.............I think plus Muskieone looks kinda dumb.[;)] [] [:sun:] [] Sounds a little like spongebob don't it? hehehehehehehe

| Both are correct, but I wish there would be a decision on how to spell it, whenever looking for info on the internet you have to search twice. |
| I've always thought that muskie was a fish and musky was the way I smelled after fishing for muskies for a weekend without showering.

| I thought like muskyone Musky is singular and Muskie is plural. I'll just use muskie from now on I guess. If you see me say musky correct me:) |

| Hey Guy's - Merry Christmas[:)] You're all correct. Websters New Collegiate Dictionary-> muskie or musky, plural muskies: MUSKELUNGE. But then again what do they know. Sponge one is right just follow the leader. If there's no leader, assume the position of leader[]

| I use the word muskie as well and if I want to talk about more then one I will add an "s".
Jim if you are going to combine the two of them then you will get " muskey " wich would be great but now we would have 3 different spellings.[:sun:] |

| The reality is that the spelling tells us what your gang affiliation is. Kind of like the cripps, bloods and the latin kings. Musky is my gang affiliation and used mostly in the midwest and the other inferior pansy gang uses the term muskie. I hope this clears it up for you. [:sun:] |
| Well Todd our muskies are bigger then yours and probably can have them for breakfast.[]
Like I said in my prior post we catch muskies and your gang catch musky.[] |
