Location: Orland Park | A buddy of mine has fished 3 different times with us over a 3 year period (5 days) with no success, other than hooking one and losing it after 30 seconds or so.
This past weekend, on a southern Wisconsin lake, Brian's luck changed. After 6 or so hours on the boat, his sucker started peeling out line. After a great hookset, and horsing this fish in, we put his first muskie in the net. A good measure on it and a quick lesson on holding the fish, I snapped this picture of his first muskie.......41 1'2". Fish swam away great. Lungin had called about 30 seconds before the fish hit, so I put the phone down for Lungin to listen in. I picked the phone up after we released the fish and handed the phone to Brian. His hands were shaking like I had never seen hands shaking before!!!! What a thrill.
Congratulations Brian!!!!!!

| Way to go Brian, very nice first musky!
My first musky was a 37" tiger 26 years ago and I still remember it very clearly to this day. |

Location: Orland Park | I'm offering a free, one day, guided trip on a Northwest Wisconsin lake for next weekend. How bout it Runnin Hot??? I took the back casting deck out and built a card table for some Texas Holdem while soaking suckers. 4 seats, a heater if needed, and some bloody mary's, beer, and brandy!!!!!!! Year 11 for the annual fall trip will be one of the best.
