Location: West Bend, WI | What rod are most of you guys chucking your bigger glide baits on.I just got my but kicked throwing a Wabull for 2 days.I'v been wanting a new rod for a while,I'v been useing a Gander Mountain 6'9". I don't think it has enough back bone for the bigger gliders. I have my eye on a 6'10" Fig Rig or the new 6'9" Dimondbacks.I'm also looking for a rod with a longer handle that I can tuck for better control.Picked up a St.Croix the other day not long enough in the handle.So what are ya'll thrown? |

Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | The only two rods you need to throw the Weagle and the Wabull are a 7'6 St. Croix Medium Heavy Premier and a 7'6 Gander Mountain Guide Series Rod. Best rods I have found for the lures, and believe me, I have tried EVERYTHING! |

Location: West Bend, WI | Mike I did use a 7'6" St.croix today.It handled the bait real nice But I kept hitting the water with it.What rod motions do you think I should use to prevent this?If I use side taps should I keep my rod tip at 3:00 or Just graze the water? like about 3:23 or so? Thx

Location: Cudahy, Wisconsin | I worked my Weagle this weekend with my 6'9" premier. I am getting a 7'6" gander rod tomorrow and will give it a try.

| St.Croix will put a 15" handle on those rods, instead of the 12" handle..........think it was $15.00........I've had two done already. |

| The Wabull works best on a shorter rod. You get more erratic action with a 6-6 1/2 foot rod. I have used my 7'6" H Avid, but you don't get the up and down as much with the longer rod. Landing fish with that shorter rod is another thing.

Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | I used my 6-0" Premier on both the Weagle and Wabull this weekend and had no problem makeing them dance. I do believe the 6-9" would give you more leverage with the heavier Wabull, but again, I had no problems walking either bait with a shorter rod. If I was working them correctly? well, I'm not sure on that one. |

Location: Pulaski, WI | I think you'd like the Lamiglas Hughes River Special. Really stiff, and a long handle.
My only complaint is the rod tip broke (only one I've ever had break) and they wouldn't send me a replacement tip. |
