I just got a great b-day present from my girlfriends dad. He works for usairways, and gave me two buddy passes to anywhere I want to go to go muskie fishing.(he wants rid of me that bad, lol). I'm gonna wait until next year, because I can't get out of work. I want to go to nw angle lotw. I'm looking for recommendations on all types of things. I want a guide for the first day of the trip. Where is a good place to stay, but not to expensive? What's the closest airport to this area?

And most importantly, when should I go? When's the best time to fish up there, the opener, or what?

Thanx in advance for all the help!!!

Tomyv, can't help a lot with airports. You might have to fly into MSP then shuttle up to Baudette. From there, you could get a plane or other arrangements. Most resorts can help you with that.

As far as guides, time and where, I recommend:

1. Dick Pearson or Doug Johnson

2. July

3. Bay Store - Oak Island, MN http://www.baystorecamp.com

Hope this helps,
Jono

International Falls, Bemegi , and Kenora Ont. all have airports but they're serviced by Northwest Airlines. Camps in the area I'm not sure of try this website http://www.ontariossunsetcountry.ca/
