| Has anybody tried these baits from Smity? In the R&H catalog is says they are like the old Striker baits. Did he buy some of the old striker blanks for the Mercer Creeks? I can't seem to find any old Strikers and this seems like a very close alternative but I'd like some feedback before I plunk down almost $30 to try one. Thanks....................TC |

Location: oswego, il | Mine was a sinker. I am pretty sure the strikers float. The bait was sold to me as a glide bait but it is not that. I never tried it like I would a striker so I cannot help you there. |

| The Mercer Creeks are not floaters and do sink. I've got the complete assortment of this bait and have had success with a few of the colors. The baits drop a little more then a foot per second but have a nice glide pattern when being retrieved. If you have any questions you can email smity at www.smitybait.com. Hope this helps. |

| Thanks guys. The strikers float at rest and attaching the bait with the eye behind the nose and the nose exposed it helps bump them off of stumps better than many of the gliders with the eye right in front. I am looking for more strikers but am not having a lot of luck. Hopefully I'll find a couple more. If you see any for sale, let me know. Thanks......TC |
