| As the water cools I inspect my safety gear. I am , um, stocky. I tried my life vest on and it fits just fine. The problem is bibs, sweatshirts, long underwear, jackets, make me even more um, stocky. Who sells giant life vests that will fit over winter garb? I have searched and the biggest I have seen is 4x. Believe it or not, that won't cut it. Maybe I could leave the chips alone but that will take awhile. I need something for this fall. Any suggestions? |

Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | have you considered a Mustang Survival Suit? I have been pondering getting one, but they are a bit pricey...just to keep myself alive in that is. |

Location: Wayzata, MN | Cabela's has one that's 4x to 7x... I can fit it over the cold weather gear.
Go to the Cabela's site, into 'fishing' and type 4xl life jacket... |

Location: Illinois | Thank you gentlemen. I have 4x-7x life vests that I purchased at MW Marine. I am about 6'3 and 235. I tried that vest on last night and it was tight to zip with no jacket on. There are plenty of guys bigger than me. Do you think different brands can run that much differently size wise? Mikie, can you tell me more about the sospendos? Price, description, retailers? Slammer or anyone, how much are the mustang survival suits? MReiter, I guess I could wear the vest under the coat, but it will hinder my late fall sausaging process. Thanks again, hj |

Location: Wayzata, MN | It depends if it's fully strapped on the sides or the wrap around style. I have both. The fully strapped side model fits over everything [very adjustable].
You can check iBoat Marine on-line too http://www.iboats.com/boatproducts/mallsearch/life_jacket/
They seem to have a very large selection. |

| Look for sosuspenders. They are great, Especialy for someone as your self or me a bit stocky. They are compact and can wear casting and don't get in the way. A bit expensive but worth it.
