Location: Illinois | I have a Shorelander roller trailer. It has never given me any problems until the last few outings. When I back into the launch at an appropriate depth, I have a hell of a time pushing my boat off the trailer. It seems a good shot of wd-40 would be the obvious solution but I am a bit hesitant. I fish solo from time to time and if I over oil or put the lubricant in the wrong area I am concerned that when I load my boat solo, it will slide back down even if I have loaded the boat far enough. Is there a specific area that I should spray with wd-40? Is there an area I should stay away from? Is my problem more than a simple oiling? I would really appreciate any help or input before I take care of it. Thanks in advance from my aching back. hj |

| I would check to make sure that the bunks are not rotted. I had this happen once and the screws from the bunks scratched the hull. Which was giving it resistances on a fiberglass boat. The carpeting on the bunks were hiding the problem. As they were conforming to the hull. When there was no load on it, there didn't seem to be a problem. Just a thought? |

| I have an ez loader combo and had the same problem. It turned out that the center keel roller was going bad and the keel was digging in. I replaced and she works perfect. I use spray silicone on the rollers and the bunks and have not had a problem with the boat sliding but I dont unhook until trailer in water anyway,I also do a lot of solo launching. hope this helps I just never checked that keel roller. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Silicone on the carpet once a month is a great way to keep the rig slippery on the trailer. As mentioned before, check the keel roller, too. |
