| How often do you guys accidently catch large walleye casting or trolling musky baits? Just curious...

| MJB,this year has been a banner year for big eyes!Spring thru now!Reef Hawgs,shallow-raiders,suckers and most of all the DEPTH-RAIDERS smoked `em!We got about 2 dozen walleyes between20"-27 1/4" with a majority on the depth-raiders.Most of these were suspended with baitfish and muskys!Also along with the big pikis,we had several large/smallmouth bass!With a 22 1/4"SM and a 22"Bucketmouth!All realeased EXCEPT for some realease to the grease eyes!Jeff [:0] |

| I do catch walleyes musky fishing but none really big. They hit lures they can't eat. Caught a 20" fish this year on a bucktail.
Caught a 12" bass on a squirley burt. Must have been a near sighted fish. |

| One weekend I caught and released a 27" walleye on a 9" Suick and a 40" muskie on an 1/8th ounce jig/minnow. DUH! |

| Funny that you should ask... This July I must have been dialed in on the walleyes while fishing for muskies. I caught 3 or 4 every evening up to 27" on Pewaukee.
I thought I should be fishing the PWT. |

| Funny you should ask. I caught a 7# plus Eye on my 1st cast in the R & H summer Tourney this year. Using a Jerko. My partner & I caught and released a total of 5 Eyes that week end all 31/2 #s or better.....Go Figure. Mike |

| Got a 22"er this past June up on Pardee Lake on a walleye colored Bugsy Bait.

| Before I started muskie fishing I spent most of my time fishing walleyes. The largest walleye I had put in the boat was a 28 incher on a jig and minnow. Since I got hooked on muskie fishing I have boated 5 walleyes that have been bigger and this past year had a 30 1/2 incher released from my boat. A really nice fish for a walleye, around 11 pounds!
A few years back while on a deep water trolling bite we where getting a nice walleye every other night or so that went up to 27 inches. They were eating normal sized muskie baits. |

| Trolling the Menominee River last year I went over a deep stump and marked lots of bait fish and bigger fish. Tossed a marker and on the way back I stopped to drop a jig, looking for dinner, ya know? After just a moment I hooked a decent 'eye down by the bottom and started bringing her up. Just as she came into view, about 2 feet from the surface, a nice musky knifed up out of the dark and poof, my walleye was gone. Mr. Musky went back down to the bottom I had it on for about 20 seconds (light spinning rod, 6#test) and then he spit the walleye. The walleye didn't fight any more as I brought it up, it looked like it had been stabbed a few times with a pocket knife. One inch shy of legal, I gave it to the turtles.
