Do not transport a fish you are going to release.
THE FOLLOWING POINT SYSTEM WILL BE USED A 34 inch release in will count as 8 points. In addition, you will receive one (1) point for each inch or fraction of an inch over 34" measured to the nearest 1/4 inch. 14 Any fish taken into actual possession by an individual and not released immediately, shall be included as part of the individual's daily bag limit, NR20,07(1)(f). An angler may retain a fish only so long as is necessary to unhook the fish and determine its length. Any fish that is held or transported must be considered part of the angler's daily bag.

This is a trophy tournament and no cash prizes will be awarded. To honor the memory of Kyle, all proceeds of these efforts will go directly back to the resource that Kly was so careful to protect in his fishing; muskies and the stocking thereof. Lake Okauchee and other lakes in the Southeastern Wisconsin area will recieve stockings of yearling and larger muskies paid for by the money raised through this effort. Each young muskie put into the water will be bolstering populations of fish that gave Kyle such joy and was the source of his greatest passion.

Early in the Spring of 2004, the muskie community lost one of it's best and brightest when Kyle "Kly" Stefanski was killed in a tragic car accident only a day before his 23rd birthday. A resident of Downers Grove, IL. and a student set to graduate from the University of Iowa this spring, Kly was above all a muskie fisherman. Never was a drive too far, or the weather conditions too harsh to keep Kly from hitting the water in pursuit of the elusive muskellunge. His drive to chase muskies found him fishing waters from the hills of Kentucky, to the plains of Central Illinois, west to Iowa, and north to Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Ontario, Canada. What set Kly above his muskie fishing peers though was his infectious smile and an outgoing personality that garnered the respect and love of fellow muskie enthusiasts in a sport where age and wisdom are generally seen as the hallmarks of a great muskie fisherman. His passing was felt by all those who had the opportunity to fish with him and those who heard the heart-felt words of those who mourned the loss of their friend. For specific questions and inqueries contact Andrew Golden at [email protected], or via phone at 847/989-9271 or Steve Cady at [email protected] or via phone at 763/227-7653

Please consider joining us on October 30th.

Keep Smiling Kid.

This is'nt a guide trip Cady, but this is what I'll donate.....

1 weekend at my cabin on Palmer Tenderfoot in Land O lakes. If you want it to be a long one, so be it. Thursday night through Sunday. The cabin will be available for a fall trip next season, we can work out the details on the whens, what's and where's.

I was gonna donate some baits, but what the hell...it's for a great cause. You can auction it here or at the tourny next week.

Didn't think I would be down there for this, but it appears we will be bringing the kids for trick or treating next weekend to the old stomping grounds (Racine) versus new (Wausau).

A couple of good deeds between now and then and I might be able to particpate in "Kly's Day" - Woo Hoo!!

This net man would be looking to occupy a seat in someone's rig. Tuffy1, GregM, anyone, anyone.....are you out there? I'd love to join someone as this should be a blast in memory of KS. Let me know if this will work with someone and I'll start buttering up my better half.

I have a question about fastest route from the north western suburbs of Chicago. I took 12 last time up to 67 and bumped into a detour on 59 and then again somewhere else tyring to get to rt83. I took this route because it appeared much shorter than heading east to get to 294 then going west on 94. I just looked on Yahoo maps and they confirmed shortest route is 12 but suggested 67 all the way to rt16. Does anyone know if there is any road construction or detours on rt67 between 12 and 16?

Thanks.

I'm not sure about 67, but if your taking 94, be sure to take the by-pass 894 to 94 there might be some delays if you don't. The marquette interchange is under construction.

I took 294 to 94 to 894 back to 94..about all I can say is I know the edens has construction, avoid it if you can. It took us just under 2 hours to get to zMusky Mike's from Oak Lawn and that was with towing the boat.
