Where is everone heading out this weekend? I plan on going out Sat. and Sun. Probably Waconia or Sugar. What a great weekend to head out. Duck opener and a Huge Minnetonka Tourny. That leaves alot of lakes open for the pickin' I think I boat one every Duck and Pheasant opener. I was wondering if there is any other tournaments in the Metro this weekend I should be aware of before choosing lakes.

If you live in the south metro or you don't mind a little drive, try French lake. Some nice fish have come out of that lake in the last few weeks. I don't think you can go wrong with any metro lake this time of year.

Good luck!!

i'm heading down tomorrow to fish Monona in Madison as well.

i'll be sure to post a picture of that 45"er when i catch it before you do, ToothyCritter. don't worry, she'll go back in the lake but she'll probably be a little hook-shy the rest of the weekend...

the rest of my weekend is going to be taken over by moving into our new house. it's one of those good/bad deals - good to have it, bad that it's taking up a good september weekend.

Lambeau,

She lives off of truville point, I will be in my buddies White/Green Pricecraft.

I last saw this fish on the left side of turville Point looking at it from the boat, we work the area going all the way across the bay towards the houses on the left.

If you see us stop over for a beer, we always have a few extra for emergencies and friends!!

Good Luck!

Heading up to my place in Land O Lakes, have 6 yards of dirt coming tomorrow morning. I'm gonna slip the Bob Cat driver a 20.00 to let me get behind the controls for a bit!

After that, soaking my meat in Palmer and Tenderfoot, watching all the guys "not trolling" as thier big orange bobbers kick up a wake while moving up wind! It's hillarious and kinda sad seeing all these guys who dont know the rules or just dont wat to obide by them.

Pewaukee all day friday (open seat available). Madison chain the rest of the weekend. Hopefully back to Pewaukee if they are cooperating.

Mad chain fish have been active on the weedlines. A fair number of opportunities every time out.

Good luck to all!

Hmmmmm . . . . I think I will head up to the Chippewa Flowage this weekend, she beat me up pretty good last weekend but I am ready for more!!!!! It is amazing that when I left Monday night I hated the flowage and wanted to get away from it, then I spend a few days at work and all of a sudden I can't wait to get back on the flowage. Is that screwed up or what?

Taking a break from these frustrating fish. Duck season opens up in Northern WI this weekend, going to give the new pup some time to shine. That is if I can hit anything.

Hey Baldy,
How has your luck been on Waconia and Sugar this year. Sugar last year was pretty good to me -3 legals and a ton of follows. I gave it a rest for most of this season. - To many weird weather days and heavy pressure. The lake really shines in Sept. -Oct. Waconia has its ups to. The Outdoor news says its hot. I guess you can take that on a whim. Ive only been on it twice this year, hook ups both days. 1 upper 30's and one that got off that I dont even want to talk about. If you want any spots or want to give up some let me know.

I am helping my mom with her gargantuous garage sale. A bedroom set, dressers, chairs, couch the garage is full of stuff from the storage and the basement I basically get to carry all the heavy crap out into the driveway and load it when it sells, hopefully it all sells!

It will probably due me good to take a weekend off since I havn't a clue as of late how to catch a musky.

Started early. Got a 35" and a 37" in the boat. Had a mid-high 40's go around and around and around, but never caught the bait. Three other follows. Heck of a night. I think I need to blow out of work @ 2:30 more often!

What's the cold front going to do to the fish? Water temp was 70 here.

muskyboy, if you are looking for a good spincasting reel for them, I highly recommend the zebco prostaff 2010(6lb) line and the 2020(8lb line). The 2020 will actually cast as good as a baitcaster and you can get them at basspro very reasonable.

Well I was thinking about going to Sugar but I think I'll skip it and go to different west metro lake in the AM ; )

In the afternoon on Sat and Sunday I will be hanging out in the Musky Nut booth at the Medina waiting to hear if Shady has finally boated a tourney fish.

If you guys are going to Sugar stop by the Medina on the way home and check out the "Musky Marketplace"

I conned a buddy into taking me to indiana sunday, dangled the carrot but he did not want to buy an indiana license at first. I told him my stats out there and he could not take it, bought a yearly license and called me back a couple hours later.

I'll be out on Webster in an old Starcraft speedboat with a shiny new trolling motor up front. Say hi if you see me and my son out there.
