Hello all,

Havent had much of a chance to post lately due to work, but thats ok. I was just curious to see how many of the Muskies First folks are participating in the Greater Wisconsin Musky Tournament being held on 10/1 thru 10/3 in the St. Germain area of WI. Its a fun time, and a low key tournament. I hope everyone has a great fall season on the water!

My brother and I will be chasing the muskies on Dam Lake...this is a great event! If anyone is interested I will have my Tuffy Esox Deep V in tow which is on the 4 sale board.

We'll be fishing Big Saint. Looking forward to it. It's pretty much turned into an annual event for six of us. I'm not huge on tournaments but this one is pretty laid back. I recently heard that Ken Jackson is no longer involved - does anyone know if that's accurate? Good Luck to all involved!

Word of warning to those fishing Big St. Germain. The public boat launch is closed for repairs until the end of Oct. There is a private (fee) launch at the campground off of Hwy. 70 on the S.E. side. This will be closed Oct.9th, according to an article in WISCONSIN OUTDOOR NEWS.

Elby,

What you heard is true, Ken J. is no longer running the tourney. I spoke to the St. Germain COC a few days ago, and there is a another gentlemen running the tourney. I dont remember his name though.

I am bringing this back up...I am a bit surprised that more MF'ers are not fishing in this...for those that may be a bit interested, I just spoke with my brother who was out on Dam lake this evening fishing for walleyes...water temps 63 - 65 degrees. As far as the tournament goes I am going to be fishing with all of my MR G.'s custom painted baits..hopefully I can give him a plug Sunday afternoon :)... unless some other baits and colors are productive

Not fishing the GWMT but will be up for the weekend anyway. Leaving late this afternoon, just hope I can get something done at work first. Will be partying it up at the MRG Custom Painted Baits Hospitality Suite tomorrow evening. Maybe even Friday and Saturday evening. Hope to see all of you there.
