Location: Eau Claire, WI | 2004 First WI Chapter of Muskies Inc. Annual Muskie Tournament Summary
It was another great year for the First WI Chapter of Muskies Inc. Annual Muskie Tournament.
In this year's contest, 51 out of a record 313 contestants caught 76 Muskies during this two and a half day event.
Friday was the most productive and action slowed as the weekend moved on.
Chuck Spletter took top honors this year with five fish from Cornell Flowage - 34", 35.5", 36", 36.5”, 37” for a total of 49 points.
Big fish honors went to Jim Bunch with his 49.75" release. For this, he receives a free replica courtesy of Lax Taxidermy and the First WI Chapter of Muskies Inc.
Other big fish for the tournament include 49.5” inch fish by Brad Anderson and Dan Hanson.
The winners of our grand prize drawings were:
Jim Skerski – One week’s stay for four and one day guiding from Bay Store – Oak Island – NW Angle LOTW.
Brian Brennan - $1000 cash prize.
Matt Paynter - $500 cash prize.
First WI would like to thank our sponsors and contestants for supporting this event. This is our chapter's primary source of revenue and gives us the ability to raise Muskies for stocking into area waters.
If you have any questions about this tournament or the First WI chapter in general, please contact me or visit our website: http://firstwi.muskiesinc.org.
