Hi,

I know topraider colors don't really matter but my friend has had a lot of success with his Blk with Orange dots Coot Topraider. Went to store to get one myself but they only had the Firetail, so I am considering adding Blk Dots to the tail (like a reverse Coot topraider). Can I use a permanent blk marker to draw some blk circles or should I use paint?

Thanks. I've never colored or painted my lures before so any advice would be helpful. Guess the easiest way would be best.

I would just go to Thorne Bros web site or Rollie and Hellens and order one in the pattern you like, shipping is pretty fast.

Just my two cents.

i used a black Sharpie marker to "repaint" my Wabull that had lost it's pattern.
worked great, held up in the water just fine, and i had a fish on the third cast...

You also could try Smokies website as well at: www.smokeysmuskieshop.com.
We have had good success with the black and white "loon" finish.
White latex paint holds on to most baits without breaking down the existing finishes.
