| Our group is considering a trip to Sabaskong next year and we're looking for any recommendations for lodging. Also, if any of you could weigh in with your opinions of Sabaskong vs. NW Angle, we'd really appreciate that as well. We fished the NW Angle this year out of Angle Outpost. The fishing was excellent, accomodations were great, and price was right. We'd go there again, but feel we should try to experience other parts of the lake before settling on one location.
Thanks,

| Never fished the NW Angle, so can't give a comparison opinion.
I've been to LOTW about 10 times. the first 6 were up on the Kenora end, and fishing for eyes. Heard there is some great muskie fishing up that way. I've made 4 trips to Sab Bay. One was a houseboat trip in early Oct, and we had a lot of fun. The fish didn't cooperate too well that trip, and only caught a few. One other trip I stayed at a well known lodge, and it was OK. I didn't get along with the hosts. Maybe that was my fault. I thought I was the guest. My other trips have been to Sab Bay Lodge. Isolated island, great hosts, and right in the middle of some of the best muskie waters in the system.
I'll be organizing another MF Outing there again next August. It'll be the 3rd Annual, and you would be most welcome to join us. Stay tuned for details. | |

| I will second the accomodations at Sabaskong Bay Lodge. We were there in July and had a BLAST!! 4 days on the water, 9 fish and walleyes to boot. They welcomed us at the dock each night to find out how our day went and spent a fair amount of time getting to know them. DEFINITELY will be back there next year!!
Check them out online. I believe its http://www.sabaskongbaylodge.com
have fun planning!!
