It does not pay pay what I was hoping for but it does have Medical & Dental insurance which I have not had for 10 months

I am the Fishing / Hunting Dept. Manager for the new Galyan's that is opening next month just 1.3 miles from my home, Grand Opening is scheduled for Oct 15th so if your in the area stop by and say HI

Great News! Put all the enthusiasm into your new job that you do your muskie fishing and you may be surprized at where it takes you!

Congrats John!!Great advice above.Hope to be able to do that myself someday. You're going to love working in the industry. You're going to be in a position to help and teach young and old alike.Take advantage of it and educate with an open mind.Strive to provide the BEST customer service possible.A lot of companies preach customer service, but it starts with you and your staff on the floor. When you love what you're doing, you don't have to try to be enthusiastic, it shows. You're going to looove Christmas!Good luck and if I'm ever in the area, I'll make a point to stop and say hi. Thanks Guys, The Job market is really tough even more so for someone my age with no degree.

Shep, I will be at Sabaskong next year as a matter of fact I have already talked with the store Manager about providing some promotional baits for those who will be there.

Slamer, Your tips did help thanks a million

Again Thanks to everyone on the board for your support in the past year

Way to go John. Hope it works out, and the worries drift off into memory soon.

We checked out your spots on Sab Bay a couple times, no sign of your fishy friend this time.

Now you have me thinking: working in the sports section of Gaylan's vs working in a cubicle loading data for a giant national bank. Hmmmm....

Good luck, hope to see you soon,
Papa Joe

Congrats!
Job market is tough right now. I have a certification, and I have been trying to find something closer to home. This 40 minute commute is kicking my butt!

Congrats dude! Even though it may not pay the best, yer on yer way to a healthier happier you! Being in close proximity to the work place, look at the $$$ saved on vehicle stuff; you'll now be able to walk to work...shedding pounds...making friends...kinda like the old song "Slow down, you move too fast, you got to make the morning last! Skippin' down, the cobblstones...havin' fun, and feelin' GROOVY!" I always said that packin' a lunch was better than packin' yer bags, and them bennies are expensive on the outside. Hang tight dude, like Stevie VL said, you never know what'll show up next!

Congrats John, what town will it be in? I will harass you. One trick is to put your stickers on all the merchandise while it is still on the shelves!
