Hey muskieteers, just an idea for Christmas or whatever Holiday that you celebrate.
I just made a "NEMO" Castor glider for my daughter. From the movie "Finding Nemo". You know what, it is a great fish catching pattern. Cheeto orange with white stripes borbered by black stripes. It was my daughters idea, but I think that it might be a cool gift idea for young muskie fisherpersons. Let me know what you think. I'll post a pic when Nemo is done turning in the basement.
Beav
Here he is!
Now I have to check into copyright stuff.
I wonder if I can do it without Disney's permission. I don't see why, couldn't I name my kid Nemo if I want to?

Nice, Beav. Is one hook on the front treble going to be shorter than the rest? hehehe

Great gift idea for "young muskyteers"? That color would work great up by me or on Pewaukee.
Where do we order? Does my partner have to throw the whiney bigger version?

Look Great, perfect gift for the little youngsters... Just curious if you are going to do a Dori one, you never know that electric blue might be the next big thing...

If you come up with a Dory pattern, I might have to convince my wife to let me buy 2 set's. My twins love watching the fish movie. Actually I would have to buy 3 sets. My son isn't going to like it if the girls have a fishing lure that he doesn't have.

My son's baits will reside in the boat. The girl's baits would reside in the house with the hooks off. Now, any bait that is in the boat is fair game.

At least that is one way to look at it, as he grabs my lures.

Beav,

That is so neat...if you would be so kind to make a few I'll take two... one for my collection and one for my adopted nephews...

Thanks,

Mark

Beav, that is a sweet looking bait! We had a Jr MI Chapter #47 member design a Jake in that color last March and won a prize for it. I agree. I think it will catch fish. I'm not sure if he is throwing it thou. keep up the good work on your baits. They look awesome.

The first thing that my daughter asked when I showed her Nemo was, "Can you make a Dory too?"
Let's see, pearl blue face blending into electric blue with a black design coming off the top and down the sides with a bright yellow tail and bright yellow fins.......doesn't sound like anything a musky would eat.
Getting it to make whale sounds might be tough.
But I hate Ellen Degenerate so much I would wince the whole time that I was painting it.

Beav,

Just think of Ellen getting chomped on by a muskie. Then see how you feel about painting it.

Beav,

I think that Dori (Blue Trigger fish?) color would be sweet on a Smultty or one of those new bikini "beer belly" baits or even a Magic Maker. Electric blue would hypnotize those fish. I'm with you. I cannot stand Ellyn D. either. I can imagine it now a baitside... "Chew it, Chew it you stupid fish!!!". Your daughter has a great imagination. Nice looking paint!

Dori is going on the new Castor!
Unless I can work out a deal for production with Mark from Smuttly, Dori will have to be longer.

Talked things over with Sworrall, and Nemo will be available through tacklefirst.
We'll set something up so you can have them personalized before clearcoating. Make sure and order early so I have time to get them painted.
My wife said that she'll even gift wrap them if that's an option that you'd be interested in.
You can e-mail me, or send a message to Sworrall regarding your order.
Beav
Some of my Castors will be available at The Kly Auction.
My daughter has hockey, but we'll stop after the game and on our way to Madison to watch The Badgers.

Well, I'm 90% packed and itching to get up to Cass.
I actually made 10 lures for myself to test, so I'll be throwing the hell out of The Castor.
As far as Nemos, if you really are interseted, I have about 30 bodies left, and should have time to fill orders for Christmas or Chanuka. I can personalize them, and my wife said that she'd even gift wrap them.
So, e-mail me and let me know. We'll be handling the sales through tacklefirst, and I have to give Sworrall and Slamr some idea of how many we'll have to produce.
There won't be any Dory's....sorry.
But Nemo under your kids Christmas tree, or in a rainbow colored box for my angy Jewish friend, can be a reality this year.
