I've broken 3 rams holders in the last 2 weeks.Calling Ram in the morning. They are cracking in the middle when I put them on the ball.I'am not even using them when they break.I got two with my boat when I got it, an they work fine but have add some that I brought from Cabela's and they are the one's that are breaking on me.The metal looks fouled, very pores and rough. The 2 I got from my boat dealer look very smooth and haven't broke while I used the longest.Anybody else seen this happen.I've got 2 the other broke completely in half and fell into the lake.Down east holder are going to be added this winter.Anyone know a slick way to mount them a boat when you can't clamp to it.Thanks Dennis Blume

I have this setup on my Crestliner 1750 fish hawk

http://www.down-east.com/clamp-on.htm
I have two 3' tracks and can fit 2 rodholders in each track with room to spare and I use the S-10 salty downeast rodholders(almost impossible to break these things).
Good luck, Jeff--------------~<*)))))))))><

Ram was really good about the whole deal. They told just sent the one's that I have back and make note of the having lost one completely and they would take care of the problem. The track system would be a solution to mounting the down easter to my boat. Thanks for your time.Dennis Blume
