1) My partner and I had a .25 cent kitty for backlashes during the 16 hour WMT this weekend...I'm now the owner of a new 65lb Thrust Minnkota AP.
2) Making fun of your partner's sexual preferences.

| Time passes faster on the water than anywhere else for me. But I usually focus on the fishing, and am one afflicted by "change-itis" so I'm always tweaking lures. Also, this past season has seen me trying hard to learn jigs like my jiggy heros Mike Hoen and Worrall. Last, I drink beer, smoke ciggybutts and fantacize about women I see on shore and on the water. |

| Well my last message was deleted. I can only imagine why.
Well the other thing I find to bide my time is yell at my partner as to why he decided to fish that spot. I'm sure alot of you can relate.
Or how about why he keeps cutting me off when he casts.
Or why he left me at the bar last time we went drinking.
Or why he broke my g-loomis after he left the bar.

| Ask the other Walking Bull about this one and he'll tell you how I make it through.
Medication
Ice bags in appropriate areas
Rest
Medication and ice
Medication and ice
and Medication.
For me it's survival, not finding ways to pass the time.

Location: Metro, MN | Time goes too fast when I'm fishing. I'm always studying and contemplating where big fish might be. Booze is good. Skoal is good. I never get bored or fish any less hard than the first casts. |

| I focus on working up my mojo. Figure eighting like a crazy man, when there isn't a fish there. When it get's really bad, it's time for the "mojo dance.".......................you had to be there. |

| I'm w/ the Beav, a daggone nigh life/death struggle standing long periods of time. Me favorite past time whilst out is imitating the hundreds of sounds one might come across during a day on the h2o. From the noises of the first launch to the motor cranking up...the whirring of a reel...the insects...birds...animals...planes...other boats...rain...wind...all make a noise worthy of imitation. In that extremely rare moment w/ virtual complete silence, I take the opp to make noise, as w/ the pop/fizz of a Coke Cola opening, and the subtle whispering of a Pay Day being unwrapped...these are a few of me favorite things... |

| My dad and I got in a good round of "would you rather..." while fishing LOTW. I think the best one was would you rather eat a pelican or a sewer rat. |

| Taking a nap while trolling and Cady is driving the boat.
Although, this weekend during the Mega, he fell asleep at the wheel. We looked at the GPS and we were going around in circles for a couple minutes !!!

Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | I am very for adult beverages, just don't ever have any in the rig. I pass the time on the water by making additional casts, trying to figure out where the fish may be, and occasionally peeking at the sunbathers on the docks and pontoons.
On those really long days I have been known to curl up on the back deck for a bit of shut eye. It makes for some real head scratching when you wake up on LOTW and try to figure out where you are.

Location: Stevens Point, Wi. | When a break is due, do to aches and pains, or just boredom, I like to do some exploring in areas I usually don't fish, for whatever reason. I have been fortunate to find a few honey holes that way. Like Norm, I too like to take a midday nap. Often times I'll be fishing alone and pull into a sheltered bay, anchor up and lay down on the floor for 40 winks. Numerous times I,ve had boats pull up and see if everythings all right. One time in mid-November on an extremely cold, windy day, I pulled up in the lee of an island. Put out 2 sucker rods, crawled in the bottom of the boat and huddled next to the heater. Next thing I know, I'm starring at a pitch black sky and wondering what the f@@@&? Turns out I slept for about 3 hours. #*^@ those early morning road trips after working 14 hours the previous day. This old body just can't pound as hard as it used to, but at the end of the day, I'm usually wondering where the time went. We don't need to make the time pass...it passes too quickly. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I just cast. Every once in awhile I take a Mobic, so I can just cast some more. Then I watch Beav ice his back, or Sue take a rest, or Slamr talk on the phone, or esox 69 stare intently at the water or wonder how come Steve VanLieshout doesn't fall out of the boat or at least bring in a sub space message up there like that or ask Theedz to try making that Undertaker dance, or net my Son's muskie or fart alot. That's a good thing, farting alot. Don't EVER hold in a fart, because it will travel up your spine and lodge in your brain, and that is where poopy ideas come from. |
