| The lake I fish on is deep 60+ feet, clear and only 200 acres. The dam is rip rap and drops off very quickly. Is the dam going to hold fish? Many flats with boulders are also adjacent to the dam. | |

Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | Lakes that are that small, there really isn't a "bad" spot on the lake. There are spots that are more productive than others, but not every musky in the lake will be holding on the same piece of structure.
Fish the dam area for 2-3 hours, if nothing move on. If you are moving fish and catching fish, there is no reason to leave.
You should be able to pick 3-4 spots and fish them to death with the lake only being 200 acres. Beat it and you will find the fish. | |

Location: Ogden, Ut | I fish for tigers in a western reservoir and have found them virtually anywhere. The reservoir I fish is usually fairly clear too, and like Mike said, any spot may be good. I have landed several fish in areas near the dam where the banks are quite steep (similar to dam face). We cannot fish the dam face as it is bouyed off for a few hundred feet for public safety. The boulder-strewn flats sound particularly intruiging to me. If you can troll, it may help pinpoint a few 'confidence spots' fairly quickly. I don't know what recreational boating exists on your lake, but if there is much, fishing early/late seems to help, particularly with a body of water that small. Also you may want to try to fish where the forage might be - the tigers won't be found far from the groceries! Good Luck and let us all know if any of this works

(by the way, I could be considered many things - but a 'pro' isn't among them)

Location: Gaithersburg, Maryland | Try fishing the flats during the early spring. During the summer, the fish will suspend deep. During the fall I would troll the breaklines or look for baitfish. Once found, I would fish for them.
