| Big fish bite at Cass!
Cass Lake shows off its fish as Bemidji MN locals Jeff Anderson & Robb Detschman tripled on day 1 and hang on to win over $54,000 in prizes! Big fish was a healthy 50" released by Todd Doebler & Jason Schillinger.
89 teams entered the event. And a total of 25 fish over the legal minimum of 40" were entered.
"Amazing fishery that it takes a 48" to be in the top ten" said tournament director Tim Widlacki. Tim also thanked host sponsors Break on the Lake Resort, Birch Villa Resort and The Palace Casino and Hotel for providing top notch tournament accomodations and support through out the year!
Tim also announced that on the behalf of the PMTT anglers $2000.00 was donated to the Mike James Foundation, $1000.00 to the MN DNR & $1500.00 donation was made to the Brainerd Chapter of Muskies Inc. to help produce a informational video on stocking muskies!

| What an event!
That was a imtimidating leaderboard when annouced 10th place was a 48"! As far as a pattern it seemed to be a breakline/weedline/rocks bite. Day 1 fish seemed to holding on edges. Baits varied but seemed to hold to bucktails, spinnerbaits & inline topwater. Day 2 most teams reported much it was much tougher to locate fish and they seemed to scatter. Some saw fish laying in the reeds to other catching fish over 60" of water.
Humbling to say the least. Quite a few guys (some well known as well as some Cass lake guides) are just shaking their heads at how these fish can show themselves yet not eat. While others are wondering if Cass even has Muskies in it?
Pretty cool experience to be a part of!
Highlights will be shown on "The Fishing Guide Show" with Travis Richardson. His website will have where it can be viewed. try www.thefishingguideshow.tv

Location: Minneapolis,Minnesota | Tough weekend for us.
We didn't even see a fish till late Saturday afternoon once we started ripping Bulldawgs over 60 ft of water
Got one 37" shorty and a nice 27" eye with this presentation. |

Location: Orland Park | Saturday was tough. I got our fish in the reeds around 12:30 Friday. We missed 2 on Friday, saw 7 others.
Saturday, I missed one, had 1 follow and saw 3 swimming around. We were sight fishing for a while on Saturday, and almost got one to bite.
It was an exciting tourney, especially once we put the first one in the boat.

Location: north central wisconsin |
Had a great time fishing the mega. Had a tough time pre-fishing, but were able to put together somewhat of a pattern for Friday and sat. We got the big girl to go on a deep breakline as were the other fish we moved including the 36" ten minutes after the big one. We actually saw more and bigger fish on the second day of the tourney, and lost one and missed another. All fish seemed deeper on the second day. Thanks to Carrie at Birch Villa for the nice place to stay, and Mark for the nice covered boat slips. Thanks as well to Break on the Lake resort for the really nice meal on Friday night. Met alot of great people, and it made our first PMTT event alot of fun!! Tim and Co. run a tight ship, and will get more business from me in the future!

Jason Schillinger
|
