Yes I have caught them on a variety of baits. Top Raiders, Dancin Raiders, Awakers, Jackpots, Buzzbaits. They don't hit wth great regularity but it seems as if the pike you catch on topwater baits are a bit bigger.

I've also caught quite a few. Spooks, Top Raiders, smaller globes, and our own buzz baits.

I do very well with topwater where the Pike are big, especially over 30". Zig Zag style baits like the Weagle or Jackpot are good, Tail spin lures like the Top Raider, and my personal favorite, anything on the top with Buzz Blades moving pretty fast.

Here are a couple Goon pike taken on topwater.

I got a nice pike on a large red Pacemaker this year on Vermillion.

Otherwise, Topraiders and Dancin Raiders get them going.

I have good luck on all sizes of pike on Jackpots. Caught a 22"er or so on a Jackpot a couple of nights ago......

This past weekend I had a 30" hit a dancin raider. The next day a 25" incher hit a shallow raider in three feet of water. Too bad though, I was in a Muskie tournament.

Nice fish! Thanks for the input I'm going to Lac Seul next month so I'll pack a few top water baits. Has anyone caught Muskie in the area of the lake by Ear Falls?

Here's a trophy 40 incher taken on a Jackpot at Vermilion. My brother-in-law Dennis, has finally felt the power of a truly big fish. We also CPR'd a 40 caught by me on a Magic Maker and a 37 by Dennis on a Bionic Bucktail. No muskies this trip but an awesome week of memories in our boat.

That's a hawg alright! I live in ON and pike are pretty common on surface baits, mainly greasers in the 2-8# range. On GBay during the 'ski season, a 'big' topwater pike will be under 36 usually. They're deep. The TopRaider has to be one of the highest hooking %age baits for esox. 30" or 30#, having one trash a Topraider's always a lot of fun. Slam R Tackle's Thunderhead is a wood bait that esox also respond well to.
