What is this weather going to do to the fishing this weekend?

As strange as the weather pattern has been all year, I have noticed that the fish have been less affected by these cold snaps than usual. By the weekend we will be in a more stable, albeit darn cold, weather system and I would expect there to be some fish that will be cooperative.

One nice thing about this years weather is that it has kept a large portion of the fish in a real shallow pattern keeping them very accessible to casters. I think the fact that the current water temps are in the sixties will keep them shallow the rest of the year.

Agreed, the fishing should be pretty good this weekend. I am headed to some dark water.

I dont mind this cooler weather. Maybe there wont be so much boat traffic in Minocqua. Im coming up this weekend and
(leaving in morning) Ive been wondering if the muskies will be strung out or in 2-8 feet of water. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

Is it just me, or have the fish been chasing alot of surface baits as well with the cooler weather? Maybe it is just because they are still up shallower than if we were in the Dog Days.

All the action seems to be on fast moving bucktails, spinnerbaits, and topwaters despite the historically cold water temperatures...The fish still have to eat!

This is the third summer in a row with no big heat wave of temps steady in the 90's on up to 100. I LOVE IT!!! It sure does put these lakes in prime summer condition and the fishing has been great!
