Subject: Barometric Pressure

Do you guys think barometric pressure has an effect on muskie's? Movement and feeding? And do you guys use a barometric pressure monitor and keep track of the reads in you fish logs? And if so what are some of the best reading time to fish?

Thanks LeMay OUT

Hi LeMay- This is a well worn subject here at MuskieFIRST. The search function above works great for most subjects. Here are some of the background threads on the subject. Perhaps some of the other members will post some additional updates/thoughts for you.

f. ex. "River muskies are not affected as much by cold front's" - Lesson: When cold front's come through- try the river. Yesterday a major cold front went through here. I went over to the local dam last night and fished from shore for ~ 1 hour. Low water and pretty good algae bloom coming through the dam from the lake above. I had a mid-30 and a +40 miss the lure. Not bad for an hour's fishing.

Good luck
Al
