| If you are not happy send it back directly to the Shiman headquarters with a good description of your complaint.
If you invest in a priority service and tell them you need it back in a hurry they will turn it around quickly for you. I have had 2 of mine go back and had them returned in less than a week both times. One was a defective bearing and another solely "pilot error" on my part.
If time is really important leave a daytime phone number where you can be reached and the hours and time zone that you are at that number. The easier it is for them to reach you the easier it is for the problem to be fixed.
Both times the reels came back in perfect working order.
Hope this works as good for you as it has for me.

| I had same problem w/ 401 TE. Had to send it back to Shimano twice and they could not fix it. Ultimately after much complaining they replaced the reel. Works fine now. |
