Subject: Mille Lacs Second Weekend of September?

Location: Alsip, Il		I was thinking about trying it for the first time. Is this a good time (the weekend after labor day)? Where would you suggest staying? Is there a topwater bite at that time? Suggestions? I almost have talked my sister into watching my dad for a Thursday thru Sunday trip and was really wondering if it would be worth the 550 mile drive at that time period September 9 th thru 12th? Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Al

Yes, Mille Lacs can be good that time of year. Its still Musky fishing, but you could hit it right. I've had plenty of sucess that week in the past.
