Just trying to find out some information on some of the ways the other clubs across the country are raising money for the stocking of musky? Any info would be appreciated.
thanks, Jeff<><

I'm the Secratary Treasurer of our local club and we do a number of things. One of the best way clubs(in WI anyway) can build funds for stocking, is by selling tickets for the musky clubs alliance boat raffle. Our club gets $.75 on the dollar and we usually do well that way(thanks to two local baitshops, Freemans in Nekoosa, and Jerry's bait in Rapids for their help selling). Last year we had a booth at a local sport show at which I had some homemade videos of my fishing exploits and stocking locally. We held a raffle there and gave away a rod and reel combo(which a very happy young boy won), and some lures donated by Hellraiser tackle. We raise 2500 muskies in our ponds each year, and stock them in the fall. The biggest cost is feed of course, as minnows are needed on a per gallon basis. Local fishing contests, brat sales, and gun raffles are other things we've taken part in, and think about doing in the future.
