| I'm interested in purchasing the Fig Rig 6'10"Jerkbait/crankbait rod it has a 2oz. to 5oz. rating I have a St. Croix 6'9" Jerkbait rod w/ a 1oz. to 5oz. rating and want to replace it with the Fig Rig rod,I was wondering if anyone has used this rod. I have no way of getting a hold of one to see how it feels
I'm wondering if it has the same action as the St.Croix wheather or not it is lighter, the handle dia.
I would appreciate any input.
Thank you in advance, Jeff

I have a 6-10 Heavy Fig..Says Muskies 101 on it. I really like the rod, I've caught probably 10-12 fish on it since last August when I bought it. Lightweight, great action... In fact I"ve purchased three of the older models and like all of them.
I guess I'm not sure if your looking at 2003 or previous edition rods or the new series they have out for 2004. Most recently I've seen some of the new ones at a local shop and I wasn't impressed, not in the slightest... Handle diameters are different (fat), fit/finish on the cork was poor and inconsistant... They now offer two different price-points/lineups of rods to choose from. The high end no longer look like Diamondback blanks..???For sure the lower end ones aren't. I'm sure they'll work just fine but from a visual aspect I didn't care for what I saw... My suggestion is if you can find a 2003 version buy it... | |

| Thanks Mark,
Sounds like I should look into another rod instead of trying to find a 2003 model.
Thanks again, Jeff | |
