| Hey there fellas, I just bought a custom boat cover for my boat and have the buckle type straps. Its a trailerable cover and I have only used it a handfull of times. My new boat already has marks from wear, where the strap contacts the side of the boat. Any suggestions on what I can do to eliminate this problem.

| Sew a 2" piece of the hook part of Velcro to the end of the straps. Then sew a piece of the fuzzy stuff, about 2" wide, in a sleeve. Make it rather tight to fit on the strap. Slide the sleeve over the strap, and then you cann adjust it up and down on the strap, and attach the lose end to it. This should eliminate the strap ends from flailing themselves against the side of your boat. If you don't have access to a sewing machine, ask your cover maker to do this for you.
I haven't done this yet, so I have just been tying my loose ends in knots around the plastic buckles. Takes too much time. As soon as I get the cover back up to the maker, they are going to do this for me.
