| I have a Lund Pro-V 2025 w/ a Motorguide Tour ES 109 lb thrust, and I spend more time correcting the path of the boat than fishing!! Looking at getting either the Minn Kota Auto Pilot 74lb or the Motorguide PTSv 109 lb. Any thoughts good or bad on either model? Is the 74lb enough to move my rig in heavy wind?
Thanks for your input!!

Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | I've only had a Power Drive foot pedal controlled TM, but my experience with destroying a large number of OTHER TMs in the past (truly operator error) get the most powerful TM you can afford. Bigger is better in this case; drains the battery at a slower rate, and IMHO gives you better control. |

Location: St. Cloud, MN | I run a 1775 Lund and I put the new 74# minnkota on the front of mine this year. i was up on Mille Lacs in3 footers and had no problem. I bought the motor with auto pilot. This is the first motor I had with this and I really like it. I even put the copilot module on it and when I take my dad I can put him in the front where there is better footing and steer the thing like I was up there by just looking at my stern mounted depth finder. The versatility is great |
