| I'm sure that there have been several related posts in the past. I'm in the market to upgrade my spinner bait arsenal and was wondering what people would recommend for Canadian Shield water in August. I appreciate everyone's input in advance.

| I love CJ's.
Two sizes to choose from, and both are awesome fish catchers.

| Hair-CJ's and M+G's(soon to be on the market again)
Rubber-Rad Dogs and Violent Strike(Unlimited colors and styles)
Each of these baits has different vibration and each has some different things I really like, but the common denominator is that fish eat them and BIG fish too.Different styles, different tools.Don't forget a few 2-3 oz spinnerbaits for casting deep water/ deep edges.Very underrated and under utilized. | Dick Pearson ERC Grinders
CJs Spinnerbaits
These are awesome and work anywhere
Also pick up some Slop Masters if you can find them, great bait for LOTW spots!

My new favorite is the Pearson Grinder. Goes through weeds FAST and clean like no other spinnerbait. |

Location: Greenfield, WI | Worrall's Violent Strike are great for your ability to order custom baits and Shumway's Funky Chicken with the maribou feathers are great choices.
If you bring fish into the boat and if you are limited by your small boat size with limited area to work on hook removal on really large muskies, then I recommend somebody elses spinner baits! |

Location: Alsip, Il | My two best are Marv's Spinnerbaits and a best all around is Reeds Reef Runner in copper blades you should replace the the main with an Indiana copper stamped blade size number 8. They use to come with this blade. They are not expensive sometimes three fo $10.00, I belive the size is 1/2 or 5/8 ounce. Get crawdad color and put on a white trailer. Better get at least three because walleye, northern and bass love them. It is a great bait for when you get tired because of it's smaller size. They are made by Northland. The largest muskie I have gotten on it is 50 1/2 inches est. 35 lbs. I don't mind giving out this secret because most people laugh because of it's size. So be it. Al |

Location: St. Cloud, MN | My votes are for the Violent Strike or the Rad Dog. Both Baits are fish catchin' machines however the violent strikes are available in more custom colors/ blade combos, and give out a lot more vibration then the rad dog. Q |

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota | I would recommend the Violent Strike spinner bait. Last year at Sabaskong, I had one with me. That bait out performed all the other baits in my boat combined. I am not sure how many different sizes there are, but I am sure that we were throughing a medium sized one with colorado blade. |

| Thanks to all for the great suggestions. It sounds like the Violent Strike is a must-have. Any suggestions on where I can find this bait?

| I got the FESTUS spinnerbait from snowcrest tackle. It is a great spinnerbait for trolling. It is a 3 ounce spinner
with a willow leaf blade. Stays down really nice at high speeds. I caught my largest pike last week trolling it in
the propwash about 30 feet behind the boat. This spinnerbait can dish it out and still come back for more. |
