Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | How do you rate these sticks? I bought Sue a heavy action 7' model today for tossing the big surface baits she likes. Seems like a very nice rod, well built and feels nice in the hands. |

| I have 2 Compres that I use for baits that would be hard on high end rods. Mag Bulldawgs, ripping large cranks etc. Tough as nails and nice rods for the $. Not my favorites but very servicable. I have the 7' Heavy that you mentioned and use it virtually every time out for several seasons now. It is my big crank rod. |

| The Compres are a lifetime, over the counter warranty. There are 11 new casting models and one spinning model that were designed specifically for muskies. The rods are very nice with more guides and better cosmetics than the previous offerings. Personally, I like the 6'8", both 7'6" and the 8'. Also, check out the new Convergence muskie rods: 7'H, 7'XH, 6'6"XH and 6'XH. At around $70 they are a phenomenal value and you'll be very hard pressed to find a better all-around jerkbait rod than the 6' at any dollar value. They also have a lifetime, over the counter warranty.
Hope this helps,
Brett Erickson

Just to re-itterate what has been talked about, the Compre and Convergence Rods do offer a Limited Lifetime Over the Counter Warranty. Al, Ron and James Lindner as well as Bob M. and Dan Sura all helped out in the designs and features.
I am quite hopefull that these will do well in the marketplace and so far they have not disappointed at all!
If you have purchased one, I thank you very much!

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Sue fished her Shimano last night in the Rhinelander Muskie League, and really likes the rod. Looks like we found a rod we like in the actions I need. Cool. |
