I haven't been there in a while, but friends and I have had success on bucktails [we tend to use flashy when sunny, and florescent when cloudy] or jerk baits in sucker colors... black and silver or black and gold...

We always tend to work the deeper side of the weedlines, then move in shallower... typical approach I guess...

The advise treally isn't a stretch, but it worked for us... good luck.

I was up there last yr the week after july 4th. I caught a 38" w/ a bucktail in the small lake(125 acres) thru the channel( i think it's jackson lake). i also moved a few fish off a large point ( i think it's referred to bear claw?) managed alot of smaller northers and a few nice largemouths as well. i understand walleye fishing is very good, but i'm no walleye fisherman. Good Luck!
