| I had some uglies but no cutters,I use the bass pro shop 80 lb braid and for the most part, it's pretty easy to un tangle.I used 50 lb braid in the past ,and it seems alot harder to untangle.
good hunting

| I switched entirely to 80# PowerPro this year and had couple of real bad ones, no cutters though, and significant decrease in the total number of backlashes as well. I am going to recycle the PowerPro to this next season and see how it performs. |

| When I actually learned how to cast and started using braided lines, 0. Braids are real easy to get out, and mono is sometimes easy, but the easiest way to screw it up so you have to cut it is to not start right. I always just grab the middle and pull up. |

| Had 1. Line snapped as I cast. Lost one of my favorite Cobb Countdowns and had such a mess that I didn't even try to get it out. I put the rod and reel in the locker and started slicing and cutting after I was done fishing.
Changed to Tuf-Line this year and any backlash that I had, no matter how bad it was, came out easily. With the exception of the one I just mentioned. It was my fault for not cutting and retying more often. DUH!

| No cutters this year although I had a few close calls all on power pro. No problems with 80lb tuff and 100lb tuff plus. All my baits snapped off on 65 and 100lb power pro with the only exception being once on 50lb tuff plus which I will be selling at the swap meets along with all my power pro. |

| I've only had two in my twelve years of hard core musky fishing. However I couldn't even start to count how many break offs I've had. Friend had a cutter in my boat this year. A few years ago my brother was using my wife's rod with mono on it. He had the absolute worst cutter I have ever seen. When he went to cast the bait hooked the boat. It was such a mess I almost fell in the water because I was laughing so hard. My wife ended up with Tigerbraid on my brother so it wasn't all bad. |
